Interaction Author's Guideline
Interaction is a national, bilingual publication of the Canadian Child Care Federation. It provides a forum for diverse commentary and keeps readers up-to-date on a wide variety of child care concerns. Interaction is targeted to direct service providers, child care organizations, educational institutions, government policy-makers and public opinion leaders.
Authors should keep language clear and simple, and ideas linked to practice. Short articles are more likely to be selected for publication than long ones. Published articles are generally 500 to1200 words.
Authors submit electronic copies of articles by email in IBM compatible formats (Microsoft Word). If that is not possible, send hard copies of articles by mail or by fax. Articles need not have any distinctive formatting, since the text will be formatted to the style of Interaction.
Upon publication, articles appearing in Interaction become the property of the Canadian Child Care Federation. No payment is made for articles. A complimentary copy of Interaction is sent to each contributing author -- please submit a mailing address. Please also include one or two sentences about yourself; this will appear at the end of published articles.
Written releases are required for all photographs and all previously copyrighted materials. If requested, photos can be returned.
For further details on the submission of articles and upcoming deadlines, please contact the editor.
