A Feature Article on Family Child Care
A message from Kim Tytler, Health Promotion Manager, Canadian Child Care Federation

The September 1 issue of the Canadian Health Network’s (CHN) newsletter, Healthlink featured a homepage article, called "Family Child Care: Siblings Welcome." The article, which highlights the unique way that family child care nurtures sibling relationships, was written by Diane Mitchell, former family child care steering committee member and online learning facilitator for the Family Child Care Training Program.

The CCCF commissioned the article, as the Children's Health Affiliate of CHN. CHN is a web portal of health promotion and disease prevention information across the lifecycle. Each September, CCCF, as one of CHN’s affiliates, is asked to post a feature article to the homepage. The article stays on the homepage for two weeks, and then becomes part of the site’s impressive collection of children's health resources.

The Canadian Health Network is brought to you by Health Canada and major health organizations across Canada. You can sign up for the Healthlink newsletter for free by clicking on "subscribe" in the upper right corner of the homepage!
