The Family Child Care Training Program graduates
from the Halton region. Congratulations to all of you!
Home child care providers and community agencies in Halton have come together to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of the Family Day Care Training Program. Together they have developed terms of reference, a mission statement and training plans for the development and delivery of the three levels of training.
A group of dedicated individuals, on the Halton Resource Connection education and training team, have worked together to offer the Family Child Care Training Program Level 3 which began on September 18, 2006, for both the north and south areas of Halton.
The Family Child Care Training Program Level 1 will be offered again to providers who are new to the profession as an intense two-day workshop beginning in January 2007.
Congratulations to those individuals who have completed the Family Child Care Training Program – Level 1 – 3. On November 20 th, National Child Day, all training participants from the Halton region were presented with a completion certificate for their hard work and dedication. 16 family child care providers, who registered for the training, dedicated eight weeks for Level 1, nine weeks for
Level 2 and eight weeks for Level 3 to complete the training series!
We look forward to the growth and development of home child care providers and increased recognition of the providers who participate in this series.
If anyone would like further information about this series, please contact the Halton Resource Connection at (905) 875-4600.
